1. Temporary external paper device error
2. Reseat external paper handling device. ( Stapler/Stacker unit, Envelope
feeder, Lower 500 sheet feeder. )
3. Check and reseat all cables between printer and the specified device.
4. Turn printer off and on.
5. Replace external paper
handling device.
6. Replace the printer
formatter board.
HP LASER PRINTER 4200, 4300,
4250, 4350
ERROR 66.00.15
1. The stacker or
stapler/stacker was remover and replaced while the printer power was
on. 2. Turn the
printer power off and verify that the stacker or stapler/stacker is
installed correctly. 3.
Turn the printer power on. HP
LASER PRINTER 4200, 4300, 4250, 4350 ERROR 66.12.01, 66.12.02, 66.12.03 1.
A stacker or stapler/stacker error has occurred. 2.
Replace the stapler unite. 3.
Replace the stapler/stacker unite.

1. An error occurred in an
external paper handling accessory.
66.00.15 - The output
device was removed and then replaced while the MFP power was on.
66.12.01 - Output lift
roller or paddle motor error.
66.12.02 - Jogger motor
error.
66.12.03 - Stapler motor
error.
66.12.23 - Communication
error
66.12.33 - Output roller
(lift motor could not reach home position)
66.12.35 - Stapler
malfunction (stapler self prime sensor did not activate)

2. Turn the MFP power off.
3. Check that the
accessory is properly seated on and connected to the MFP, without any
gaps between the MFP and the accessory. If the accessory uses cables,
disconnect and reconnect them.
4. Turn the MFP power on.
5. If this message persists, replace the output
device.

1. Check all cables on the external paper handling output Device. HP LASER PRINTER 5SI, 8000
1. Temporary
external paper device error. 2.
Make sure that paper is loaded in paper tray correctly. 3.
Check all external paper handling device. Remove all paper handling
devices. 4.
Put one external paper handling device on the printer one at a time. 5.
Replace the defective paper handling device. 6.
Replace the formatter board. HP

An error occurred in an external paper handling device. 2.
Check all external cables to the paper handling devices. 3.
Reseat all paper handling devices. Or replace one device at a time.

1.A communication error between sheet input unit or the Multi-bin mailbox and the printer.
1. Turn printer off and then turn printer on.
