4. Defective main motor.

Turn the printer off and then turn the printer on again. 3.

A sub cooling fan (FM2) error has occurred. Fan operation is verified
during device power up. Fan operation occurs only during power up or
during a print job. 2.
Turn the device off and then on. 3.
Verify that nothing is hindering or blocking the fan. 4.
Verify that the fan is connected to connector J512 on the ECU PCA. You
might have to remove the main cooling fan to see this connection. 5.
If the message persists, replace the fan. HP
LASER PRINTER P3005 ERROR 57.04 1.
A main cooling fan (FM1) error has occurred. fan operation is verified
during device power up. Fan operation occurs only during power up or
during a print job. 2.
Turn the device off and then on. 3.
Verify that nothing is hindering or blocking the fan. 4.
Verify that the fan is connected to connector J509 on the ECU PCA. 5.
If the message persists, replace the fan.

Check the sub cooling fan (FM2) and main cooling fan (FM1)

Turn the device off and then on.

Check that nothing is hindering or blocking the fan.

Check all the connectors on the ECU PCA.

2. Verify that the
connection on the DC controller is firmly seated.
3. Listen for the fan to
operate while the MFP is initializing
4. If the fan does not
operate during the initialization sequence, replace it.
