1. An I/O timeout or prompt for user interaction has been exceeded.

An error has occurred in the scanner.
2. Make sure that the
scanner lock is in the unlocked position.
3. Turn the device off and
then on.
4. Check the cable
connections between the ADF/scanner assembly and the formatter.
5. If the message persists,
replace the scanner assembly.
6. If after replacing the
scanner assembly, the error persists, replace the formatter.

Unexpected postscript firmware error. Replace
firmware chip.

1. An error has occurred
in the scanner. use the following list to identify specific errors.
YY=1 - The scanner cover
is open.
YY=2 - A jam has occurred
in the ADF
YY=3 - The ADF could not
pick up the paper.
YY=6 - An error has
occurred at the scanner fan.
YY=7 - A communication
error has occurred in the scanner
YY=8 - A scanner
calibration error has occurred.
YY=10 - An error has
occurred at the ASF fan.
YY=15 - Scanner
initialization failed.
YY=17 - The scanner
carriage is locked.
YY=18 - An error occurred
on the scanner PCA.
YY=19 - An error occurred
at the scanner lamp.
YY=22 - A fatal hardware
error has occurred in the scanner.
YY=23 - A scanner
calibration error has occurred.
YY=24 - The ADF jam access
door is open.
YY=25 - A general error
has occurred in the scanner or ADF. This error is most likely a memory
corruption.
YY=29 - The ADF output bin
is full.
YY=34 - Cable error or
lost of communication with the formatter
YY=36 - Scanner firmware
upgrade failed
2. Turn the MFP off and
then on to try to clear the message.
3. If the message
indicates that a ham has occurred, clear the jam.
4. Verify tat the cable
between the print engine and the scanner is securely connected.
5. Upgrade the firmware.
6. If you are unable to
resolve the problem, replace the scanner assembly.
